We also mentioned that the verb is a very powerful and useful word. That is because in Korean there are a lot of verbs that are made by combining a noun with .

Many of the Korean nouns that indicate or describe some action or behavior can be combined with . And they become verbs.

1. = studying / = to study 2. = work, job / = to work 3. = memory / = to remember 4. = cleaning / = to clean 5. = cooking, dish / = to cook 6. = moving / = to move, to move into a different house

Making negative sentences with verbs

In order to make negative sentences using these verbs (check out Lesson #21 for information on how to make negative sentences in Korean) you need to separate the noun part and the part again and add inbetween.

And if you remember from Lesson #16, there are two ways to make negative sentences in Korean: adding before the verb and using the verb ending . If you want to use with verbs, you simply conjugate [ha-da] to [ha-ji an-ta].
