Sutton use Dialogue App for engagement hub
Client: London Borough of Sutton
London Borough of Sutton wanted a way to engage their residents on an ongoing basis. Not simply looking for a place to gain feedback from their public, they imagined a space where residents could learn about local topics of interest, whilst discussing issues with one another as well as engaging with their council.
Type of process: Ongoing community engagement
App used: Dialogue App
London Borough of Sutton are renowned for their innovative work in engaging local residents. Having already used Delibʼs Citizen Space platform to run their consultation activity and being responsible for for the Sutton Book Share lending project, they are no strangers to using technology to connect with their community. When Sutton were looking for a tool that would enable them to consult their residents on an ongoing basis, they chose the Dialogue App because of its ability to let people easily post ideas, tag, rate and create discussion around them. The tool would also enable Sutton to display themselves as administrators and respond to individualsʼ specific questions/comments - extending the Dialogue App as a feedback point for residents. Suttonʼs Dialogue App also enables them to archive topics as past discussions. This gives residents the opportunity to navigate through all conversations that have taken place, whilst tagged ideas and themes build up. Due to this flexibility, the tool has been the focus of discussions as broad as the Big Society to waste collection to libraries and will continue to be used as a hub of engagement on issues to come.
