Old Waterloo Equine Clinic (OWEC) provides the best diagnostic and medical services and the highest

level of care for our equine patients. We achieve this through: the use of modern technology; good communication with our clients; and a very knowledgeable, caring staff. Continuing education is a priority for OWEC’s veterinarians, ensuring that we remain abreast of the latest developments in the rapidly advancing field of equine medicine. OWEC’s veterinarians care for more than 6,000 patients, providing individualized care to each and every one. We take our responsibility for our clients’ horse care and our clients’ trust in us very seriously. Founded in 1981 by Dr. Helen Poland, OWEC is located in the heart of Fauquier County’s horse country. In 1993 a clinic with an examination room and a surgical facility were added to the practice. Dr. Tena Boyd joined the practice in 1996 and became a partner in 2000. In 2006 OWEC opened its new Equine Reproduction Center and celebrated 25 years of dedicated service to the equine community.
