The continuing story of how God is transforming lives at the University of Michigan. Psalm 90:17

Patient Waiting
The last few months we have steadily been raising support and are closer than ever to our initial completed support goal with GCM. As of today, we only have $1,000 a month left to raise! God has definitely been faithful throughout this whole process. However, it has been easy to get discouraged along the way. In the frustrating times we consider what God might be trying to teach us and pray for strength for endurance. We are also reflecting on Psalm 40:1-3 “I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire.   He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.”

A Vision to Get us to Campus
More than 120 people are giving to help support GCM’s ministry at New Life Church on the campus of the University of Michigan. Will you consider joining our team at one of the amounts below to help change the lives of young people? Would you consider increasing your current gift by $10 or more a month? This could help get us done!

1 at $200/month

2 at $100/month

4 at $75/month

6 at $50/month

As God brings in this last bit of money we know that He will give us a new song to HERE IS WHAT IS LEFT: sing -one of celebration. We want our $1,000 in monthly support. 13 more partners. lives to tell the story of God’s goodness and faithfulness. Thank you for your THAT’S IT! If 13 more people/families could give we would be done faithfulness! with our initial fundraising! If you’re not supporting us monthly will

Courtney’s Story
This summer we have 152 students involved in our summer program called Leadership Training (LT).The program begins with a week long KickOff Retreat. This is Courtney’s story of her experience at that retreat.

“I took a class during Spring semester, which left me feeling pretty drained and unengaged. I didn’t have many expectations going into the kickoff retreat. We were encouraged to make a 30-day prayer goal. I wanted to pray that God would pursue me and that He would show me my worth and value in Him.   On monday night, Steve's talk about "The Beauty of the Gospel” blew my mind.  Ever ything he was saying was stuff I desperately needed to hear and understand:  that I was delighted in, chosen, protected.  Somehow, I started to grasp that the gospel was about me, and me individually.   For the longest time, i just felt like one of God's many subjects, a number in a crowd, and I was just "covered" under His umbrella plan for our salvation .  I didn’t understand that He actually chose me specifically.   I felt like I was hearing the gospel for the first time, and it was so overwhelming. I was overwhelmed with sadness that I never actually saw God for His true character, and sad that I've lived for so long thinking I meant nothing to Him.   But then I was overwhelmed with how much He loves me, and awestruck that He would lay down His life for me.

Basically, I feel like I experienced a fraction of how much God loves me, and it was AWESOME.  It's given me so much more excitement about the gospel and evangelism, because I am starting to understand just what it means to me.   If i could sum up my whole experience in one sentence, it would be, ‘compared to love like this, nothing else matters.’ And that’s a slice of my life.”
