Genealogy and religion are two subjects inseparable. Every religious tradition has some sort of genealogical record that is significant often central- to the practice of the religion. From the long genealogies of the Old Testament, to the question of immaculate conception, from the genealogies of the Shinto or Hindu gods to the story of creation featured throughout human culture expressions of divinity often go hand in hand with expressions of genealogy. Through a deeper understanding of all human cultures we can come to see our place in the world, we hope by this series to link humanity together by demonstrating a common and fundamental connection that all humans make; the connection between genealogy and the divine. The work exhibited in the Genealogy and Religion Series will be done by university students, and part of the earnings for the purchase of any of the journals will go directly to them. Through supporting the Genealogy and Religion Series you are supporting ongoing interest in and research towards an understanding of our past and you are supporting a program that benefits students, giving them experience in their field of study, their own published materials to add to their portfolio, networking and career-skills and a way to make a little bit of money. The Tree of Humanity Genealogical Society stands by the belief that students are productive visionary assets to our global culture that need to be encouraged and nurtured for the benefit of all, we hope that you will help us in our vision of empowering and supporting our future. If you would like to write for the Tree of Humanity Genealogical Society Journal please send your CV to email@example.com with a brief description of which series you would like to write for and why you are a good candidate. (Tree of Humanity Genealogical Society Journals should start to become available for purchase in September 2011 only on Scribd.)
