Lee Foods and Wisconsin Foods are OMAHA based distributers. They decided to amalgamate to form Lewis Foods. This case reveals the challenges they faced and strategies they adopted for the integration of two groups.

-------------------------------What problems do you anticipate from the employees reaction to the merging of two fleets if we do not make any change in the treatment of the two groups of the drivers? 2.What issues do you anticipate will cause the most concern among the drivers and what approach should we use to integrate two fleets with out alienating drivers ?

3.Some of the drivers already qualify for the safe driving bonus. Could we continue this and add a bonus of $0.03/mile for every month driven under 58 MPH?

4.Assuming that we decided to upgrade the tractors ,would your first action be to install the Stemco trip recorders in all the Lee tractors or upgrade the driver comfort items in the Wisconsin tractors? Why?
