Additional comments: Sara exhibits great leadership skills in the clinical area. She is often seen as a leader by her peers as she assists them, as well as in her interactions with staff and the interdisciplinary team. She opened and assumed a leadership role amongst her peers at many post-conference discussions, often bringing in evidence-based articles or books to increase learning. She communicated with staff on her patients needs in an assertive way and also posed research type questions to the clinical nurse specialist on the unit to assist in unit-based functioning.

Additional comments: As stated above, Sara often went above and beyond in seeking new knowledge and resources from databases and the Emory library to aid in her learning, as well as sharing with her peers and hospital staff. Sara has an inquisitive nature and seeks to find evidence-based and research materials to aid in the care of her patients and the patient population seen on 7G.

Additional comments: Sara has excellent critical thinking skills, always asking why and how questions, and seeking out resources to answer these questions. She often thinks in terms of future research and thinks beyond the obvious. She is excellent at drawing connections between concepts and determining the best options in planning her care activities based on her findings.
