At the end of the course, students should be able to: Perform drawdown and build-up analyses using analytical solutions. Calculate and account for wellbore storage and apply type curves in well test analysis. Define and identify characteristics of variable f f f f flow rate methods and effects of boundaries on analysis. analysis
Well Test Analysis, UTP JAN2011
This course reviews fluid flow in porous media and examines the analytical solutions to the diffusivity equation. It then takes the analytical solutions relevant to well testing and develops the classical solutions, examines their limitations and shows examples of their use. The course examines the use of pressure and flow measurements in reservoir management. Th course also i l d i t The l includes transient testing, drawdown testing and semilog analysis, analysis buildup testing and the Horner plot linear plot, discontinuities (sealing faults).
Well Test Analysis, UTP JAN2011
The course discusses the well test analysis by using type curves and pressure derivatives derivatives. Gas well testing is covered as well.
