DLW is capable of manufacturing Diesel Locomotives in wide range of 1350 HP to 4500HP with different capacities, suitable for different type of gauges e.g. Broad gauge, Meter gauge, Cape gauge, Standard gauge etc. First of all detailed requirements for a loco to be designed is obtained. Accordingly loco design is done. The major details given as under are incorporated in the loco design.
