and the prescribed norms lay down by the statutory bodies. T he wagon tippler is designed to unload materials like coal, coke, iron ore, etc. , from the open type railway wagons, viz; Box/Box N HA/Box N MKD-II /OZ/O, etc. It is also capable of performing the function of weighing the gross and tare wei ght of wagons by incorporating an integral weighbridge. TRF wagon tipplers are o f sturdy construction and require negligible maintenance. The tippler is of late st design having main sectors carried on shafts supported on trunnion bearings. The wagon is clamped, automatically on the table during tippling and no hand adj ustments are necessary. A wide range of wagons can be accommodated and the clamp ing arrangements are such that it is firmly held without damage or undue pressur e on any part of the wagon. The machine is capable of automatically clamping (by hydraulic clamping) and tipping specified 8-wheeler bogie type broad gauge open wagons. The tippler empties wagons above rail level and inverts them through a maximum angle of 160 degrees so as to discharge the material into the hopper. Th e tippler is a positive gear operated hydraulic driven machine of massive and ro bust construction and designed for continuous and arduous duty. It is counter ba lanced at each stage of its operation. It carries the wagon with pin-jointed con nections between the components, thus giving an articulated construction. The se ctor gear is mounted on the periphery of end rings and driven by pinion mounted on line shaft powered by gearbox and motor, etc. Special features: failsafe EM b rake, hydraulic clamping system, maintenance free operation, and robust and reli able. Main components: tippler drive unit (hydraulic drive with power pack)/elec tro-mechanical, side/end ring with gear teeth, tippler platform, brakes, counter weights, hydraulic clamping, main bearing and main shaft
