MEDIA RELEASE

On 07/28/11 the Cedar Rapids Police Department arrested CRPD Officer Robyn Obadal for Burglary 3rd Degree in connection with a residential burglary which occurred on 07/23/11 at approximately 4:11 p.m. The burglary occurred at 1201 10th Street NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 and Obadal is suspected of taking two dogs from this residence. Officer Obadal has been placed on unpaid, administrative leave pending an internal investigation. Officer Obadal has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Police Department since 1997. No further information will be released at this time. Any additional information that may be released will be through the Cedar Rapids Police Department’s Public Information Officer.
