These are forms of covering a layer on Parada. These produced either from Bhumi, Girija, Varija, or from the metallic ores. Naga and Vanga are commonest ore which form Kanchuka Dosha in Parada. These defect related to environment that s why it called environmental defect.

Modern point of view


Impure mercury expose to air, yield a black powder caused by the oxidation of metallic impurities. Chemical reaction occur between mercury & other associated metallic ores. Even trace elements present in mercury are sufficient to produce such chemical reaction

Conclusion
Saptakanchuka are produce in Parada due to environmental factor.

It is due high Sp. Gr. of Parada other metals as impurities in it are float on surface which look like covering (Kanchuka) that s why Acharya name as it.
