The AHWS Policy Analyst is responsible

to prepare an annual workplan and monthly status reports; prepares proposals, coordinate program related projects, and facilitate discussions, meetings with stakeholders. Monitor and analyze provincial legislaticn, regulations and policy direction in areas applicable to Treaty #3 Territory and the Aboriginal Health and Wellness Strategy. Provide Grand Council Treaty #3 with policy, position and representation at national, regional and local community gatherings or meetings. Provide support to Treaty #3 affiliate A.H.W.s supervisors and caseworkers. Engage and provide impact analyses as a result of monitoring federal and provincial policy research. Provide the preparation of informational materials, policy briefs and newsletter articles and product development. Regularly communicate to supervisor(s) on emerging/current issues emanating from potential impact analyses. Conduct conference and seminar development, planning, facilitation and reporting. PerForm any other duties related to the position of A.H.W.S. Policy Analyst as directed by the Executive Director.
Qualifications: Completion or an advanced/professional

PURPOSE AND SCOPE The Economic Development Officer will plan. organize, direct, control and evaluate economic policy, research and programs in the areas of community business development and program planning, This person will plan and direct policies and programs to promote industrial and commercial business development within the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and develop the community resources to ensure that the community gains all rewards available through such relationships or enterprises.

Mandatorv Requirements
The Economic Development Officer shall possess: Bachelor's degree or college diploma in economics, business administration, commerce or public administration Minimum three (3) years experience in economic development or as a First Nation entrepreneur

The Economic Development Officer shall be knowledgeable work experience in the following areas: and possess skills or prior

Ability to analyze problems and data and make sound conclusions and recommendations Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to staff and clients Ability to develop and interpret complex rules and contract language Excellent knowledge of economic funding agreements and principles to maximize access to these funds Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills Ability to develop measurable goals and objectives

Must be able to obtain the following certifications during the course of employment: First Aid and CPR Certification Economic Development Certification C. DUTIES

The Economic Development Officer shall, in every aspect of their position: Promote the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek's Vision and Mission Statements Maintain the level of professionalism expected by the Atikameksheng Anislmawbek as outlined through the Policies and Procedures manual Uphold the ethics of their position and the Community Assistance Team In addition, the Economic Development Officer shall complete the following duties: Project Management Manages all aspects of economic development, including finalizing project work plans, sourcing and use of funds, ensuring signing of contracts within policy and procedure parameters and the overall motivation of the project team. Coordinates and facilitates planning and production meetings with clients, and proj ect personnel Economic Development Co-ordination

Maintain relationships with other organizations engaged in economic development in the region Assist with the development of the annual economic development workshop Develop and maintain performance monitoring and benchmarking system Maintain/develop promotional material for key economic opportunities Economic Development Market Research Conduct demographic assessments and gather market research for use by potential business investors or local entrepreneurs Establish distribution networks for products and services Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings, assist in product development Administrative Assist in the development of policies and administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment within the Atikameksheng Anislmawbek

Filing of monthly reports to update the Community Development Manager on project progress

Financial Management
Plan, administer and control research and administrative budgets for projects, support services, equipment or supplies Submit all financial reports to any agency providing funding support as required Secure any and all funding available to the First Nation through government or privately sponsored programs in the areas of economic development and infrastructure
