LEGO®

Creativity Challenge

(Ages 7-12 without parent)

This is a fun & creative exercise for Lego fanatics – both
veterans and newbies! Following the basic concepts of
science and engineering, the participants will work with
LEGO®

Motorized Engineering kits to put to test their
ingenuity and ability of creating different machines for
problem solving. Besides they will have inspiration to
design a machine of their choice, put it together, test it and
then demonstrate the working of the model to all
participants in the class.

Participates will also follow interactive instructions on PCs,
create SAVs (Special Assault Vehicles) from LEGO®

robotic
construction kits and launch them in to combat, and carry
out battle missions.

They will work cooperatively sharing ideas with each other
in an intellectually stimulating environment. There is great
emphasis on expressing their ingenuity.

Digital Movie with Animation

(Ages 8-12 without parent)

“Movie making” is a perfect art form which brings together
a variety of talents and skills. Children have a great sense of
creativity and imagination which need appropriate impulse
and encouragement to manifest. The participants will
choose a theme, develop a plot, set up studios, learn
animation, create the movie, edit, and add “title, credits-
special effects” etc. and then burn it to CD to take home.
Participants will work in small teams with technical
equipment. Working cooperatively, they will sharpen their
social skills and appreciate the value of team work.

Participants are encouraged to bring props, toys and other
materials that they would need to make their animated
movie.

Spybotics: Spies “R” Us!

(Ages 8-12 without parent)

Here begins your journey into a world of undercover agents,
high-tech robots and secret missions. Working in teams, with
knocked-down LEGO© robotic kits, the participants will
assemble “robotic mission-vehicles.” The step-by-step
instructions are given on laptop computers using interactive
spybotic software. After testing their spybots for operational
readiness, participants will obtain mission briefing from the
S.M.A.R.T. Headquarters. Using the remote maneuver and
control system, participants will guide their spybot against
time to accomplish the missions.

mailbox will be set out the first week in December. All letters will be answered.
Last pick-up for Santa letters is December 10. Please remember to include your
return address for Santa to respond. Sorry, but we are unable to return original letters.

TECHNOSAURUS
Little Masters at LEGO®
Engineering

(Ages 5-7)

Children just love to “build and break,” and that is how they
build-on the storehouse of their creative energy. Working
with LEGO®

Education Kits, under professional guidance,
they make working models of simple machines to learn
some of the basic concepts of engineering and science.
Hands-on activity develops understanding of “how things
work”, which develops the aptitude for engineering &
promotes learning in science. The program stimulates their
creativity, and provides a supportive environment for its
exploration, as well as helps promote social skills.

(Ages 8-11 without parent)

Constructing ‘working models’ of basic machines with
LEGO®

Education Sets provides understanding of some of
the fundamental concepts of science, without the burden of
technical jargon. Participants will apply learn about
structures, levers, pulleys and gears for problem solving, by
progressively investigating, exploring through modification
and upgrading of simple mechanical and motorized
machines. Participants are encouraged to use their
imagination and power of innovation within a friendly and
competitive environment.

Children work in teams of two. Each team has one complete
set of LEGO®

Whether a media prodigy or not, have your child join the
club of future ‘digital media enthusiasts” filled with great

choice, and videotape them. They will also synergize
talent to plan, develop and present their own comedy
show and video-record it. Some satire and possibly some
impersonations will add considerable spice to the
creativity package. All their creations will be video-
recorded by the participants themselves. They will make
a CD of the complete digital adventure, and present to
you for your watching pleasure, and feel proud of it.

This is a great team work and creativity bonanza!
