Nancy Lauser, instructor Lessons includes: Impromptu speeches, prepared speeches, interpretive reading, giving and receiving evaluations, enunciation exercises, and ´think on your feetµ games. Students gain confidence and develop skill in speaking. Returning students will have more challenging assignments than the beginning students, and new this year³field trips!

Nancy Lauser (rhymes with saucer) taught speech and debate to homeschool students for nine years, including five years with Heights Homeschool Organization, and two years of debate at Rio Grande Enrichment Studies. She has retired from the competitive aspect of speaking, but continues to teach public speaking for everyday communication. Nancy does occasional workshops for CAPE and other homeschool groups. In addition to teaching speaking skills, she currently belongs to Toastmasters to work on improving her own skills, where she has achieved the Advanced Silver Level. Nancy and her husband have two young adult sons who were homeschooled their entire school careers, and both parents lived to tell about it!

Dates: Tuedays; September 6-November 22 (Schedule provided first day of class) Time: 10:00am-12:00pm Change of time from previous years Location: Netherwood Church of Christ (nw corner of Indian School and San Mateo) Cost: $65.00 per student for the semester. Discounts for active military families. Sorry, no discounts for multiple students from the same family. Instructor does trades and payment plans if finances are a hindrance to attending class.
