a premier tea research institute, has entered its 100th year of existence. To mark the occasion World Tea Science Congress is being organized at Tocklai Experimental Station, Jorhat, Assam, India between 22-24 November, 2011. This Congress will address many of the contemporary research issuesand will provide a platform for scientists to share their ongoing tea research activities with their fellow scientists and with people of the tea industry. The organizers hope that the conference participants including scientists, policy makers and members of tea industry and their interactions will help shape the roadmap for future tea research. The Congress will have lead presentations from invited speakers. Papersfor oral and poster presentations will be selected by a panel of experts from the papers received.
