The Dow Industrial Average appears poised for a test of my annual pivot at 11,491 as the S&P 500 challenges its annual pivot at 1210.7. The yield on the 10-Year US Treasury appears set to rise towards 2.360, which is its post-FOMC high. Gold is back above $1800 the Troy ounce with this week’s risky level at $1907.5. Crude oil is above its 200-week simple moving average at $83.85 with this week’s pivot at $86.56. The euro versus the dollar appears ready for a test of its semiannual risky levels at 1.4752 and 1.4872. Supports for the Dow Industrial Average are the 200-day and 120-day simple moving averages at 10,716 and 10,572 with the 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages as that “Death Cross” at 11,946 and 11,987. A close on Wednesday above or below the annual pivot at 11,491 should set which comes first.
