Tecumseh Speech Refection

I agree with what Tecumseh is saying. He is talking about how “The White Men” were first welcomed by his people, and how kind they were to them. How they fed and housed them. Then saying that the “white men” then betrayed them. Made rules that involved Tecumseh’s people changing their lifestyles in order for them to be accepted into their own land. He’s saying his people need to stand up for themselves and fight for what they believe in. Freedom. I believe in what he is saying, because the “white men” have no right to take advantage of their generosity and then betray them. The Shawnees sat their and let them take over. Tecumseh is inspiring people to stop being lazy and fight for what they believe is right. And this I believe is worth hearing. “If we all unite, we will cause the rivers to stain the great waters with their blood.” Tecumseh is saying that if he can get all of his people to join together to stop the Americans from taking over the land, and robbing them of their beliefs, that they could be extremely triumphant. Overall I think that the was probably very inspirational to his people.
