Significance of the study This study will be a significant endeavor in providing the proper usage of social networking sites.

It aims to point out the effects it poses to the academic life of PSBA students. Social networking sites evidently have a lot of positive effects, but they also have their share of negative impact. This study will be very beneficial to the following: 1. Students-The result of this study will give enlightenment to students regarding social networking sites. This will provideinformation about the effects that these sites will bring to the students. This research will also give a certain form of guidance to students on the proper usage of social networking sites. 2. Parents- This study will give awareness to the parents regarding the influence of Social Networking Sites to their children. With enough knowledge, parents can think of possible preventive ways if their child is prone to poor academic performance because of too much usage and dependence from social networking sites. 3. Teachers- This study will be helpful to the teachers in informing them the issues regarding thesocial networking sites role in the academic performance of their students. In line with this, teachers, as students second parents, will know a way on how to help the students in improving their academic performance. 4. Guidance Counselors- This study will help the guidance counselors to be aware of the effects of social networking sites to the students of Philippine School of Business Administration, Quezon City. By informing them of this matter, they will be able to relate more with students and to give accurate advices to students that have problem involving SNS. 5. School Administrators- This study will aid the school administrators to be aware of the effects of social networking sites to PSBA, Q.C. students. With enough information about SNS and its effects to the students, school administrators can help in solving problems of the students regarding this topic and give advices that are appropriate to the situation when social networking sites affect the academic performance of the students of PSBA,Q.C. 6. Social Networking Sites Developers- The result of this study will make the developers of different social networking sites aware of the effects to the academic performance of students of the SNS that they are maintaining and making. Because of this, they will be trying their best to develop a social

networking site that will only have good effects to the user and will help them improve their academic performance. 7. Future Researchers- This study can help in further studies of future researchers regarding the effects of social networking sites to the academic performance of the students. This can serve as a reference for further improvements to be done in their study.
