Major Triads - Circle of 4ths

Burnett/KCYJ Combo Lab

This clinic is an improv/theory assignment that will keep students tracking toward coherent soloing. By establishing and maintaining proficiency in applied performance of these chords around the cycle of fourths, students will inherently mirror common and traditional root movement in Western Music. This skill will translate to playing ii7-V7 progressions as well, when both major and minor quality triads are mastered. (Also See: Minor Triads - Circle of 4ths by Chris Burnett)
