Here are the advantages of using billboards: 1.) It is cheap compare with other medias. 2.) It is visible to everyone.

Its framework and structure enable the people to see the information easily. 3.) The exposure of a person in seeing the billboards will make the person convey the message in a more efficient way. 4.) It targets large audiences. 5.) It creates name recognition. most of the billboards are place in a congested areas like roads. Motorists who travel makes him/her recognize the message every time he/she travels in that area. 1. Low Cost The start up cost of a typical billboard, as well as the monthly re-occurring costs to keep and maintain a billboard, is the single biggest of the many billboard advertising advantages. Without taking anything else into consideration, the cost to set-up a billboard is lower than most other advertising mediums and the monthly maintenance is lower than the first month's cost. Compared to print advertising, where the cost the first month is more than a billboard and the cost is fixed at that same price from month to month, the billboard's low cost really shines as a big advantage. 2. Larger than Life Advertising Medium One of the most often cited advantages to using billboard advertising is that the ads are larger than life. For a business owner, it is a source of pride to see their company advertised in this format because it almost takes on a life of its own. With an advertisement that big, the level of detail and the information that can be provided is up to the imagination of the graphic artist, marketing staff and corporate decision makers rather than be limited by space. 3. Maximum Impressions While the cost for a billboard is a big advantage, it becomes even more of one when the cost is looked at based on the number of people who see the advertisement. A well placed billboard can be viewed by hundreds of thousands of drivers a day. During portions of that day, those impressions are not fleeting glances but a way to break up the boredom of driving slowly in rush hour traffic. 4. Repeat Impressions People commute to work four or five days a week and typically take the same route to work and back every day. This means that those many thousands or hundreds of thousands of people will see the same billboard advertisement day in and day out. Those repeat impressions are incredibly expensive in other forms of advertising. In a magazine, for instance, how would a company go about getting multiple impressions for their product?

They would have to take out multiple advertisements in the same issue and pay dearly for the privilege. 5. Perfectly Timed Impressions Finally, there are many times where the impressions from billboard advertising are the best timed of any forms of advertising. For example, a company is advertising their brand of a grocery product and five miles away is a local market that many people stop at on their way home from work. Those advertising impressions are so timely, they are far more likely to influence the purchasing decisions over a similar advertisement in a different medium that was viewed hours prior.

Here are some of its disadvantages that our group has discussed: 1.) Making a billboard takes a very long process. it is not easy to make a billboard because it must undergo different process. 2.) Some billboards are developed in areas where some houses are placed. Like in Metro Manila, a lot of billboards are placed above houses which can cause harm to those who lives in that house. News about accidents are reported whivch are mainly cause by some imperfect billboards. 3.) Although billboards are attractive, sometimes when they see billboards in an instant they find it hard to absorb the message the source wants to convey. 4.) Some of the billboards don't inform but instead they advertise.

Billboard messages are designed to be seen primarily by people traveling past the billboard location in their cars, and the impact of the billboard message depends on: 1- the amount of traffic that passes the billboard 2- the driving conditions at the time cars pass the billboard. If, for example, the weather is bad, or traffic is congested the driver's focus will be on driving-conditions that prevent him from gazing anywhere other than the road in front of him. 3- Consider how quickly the billboard passes your line of vision when driving. You have about5 to 10 seconds to take it in before you have passed it. The message has to be short and sweet. There is no room for detail, phone numbers or addresses that the viewer may not be able to remember or have time or oportunity to write down. 4-the most effective billboards are ones with a big arrow saying "here" or "turn here" for the business locatio
