What a fantastic day, we had children participating in four of the five sports on offer this year - Netball, Rugby, Basketball, Hockey and Soccer. A huge thanks to TAS for organising such a wonderful event and that beautiful weather; and a big thanks to all of the coaches, and parent helpers from all schools. Without your support, days kinds of days just can’t happen. I particularly enjoyed watching the basketball, being a rather big fan myself, hopefully we may be able to get a Taihape competition with so much interest shown today. PTP Starts on Tuesday (this time) Just a reminder that the Year 7 and 8 students will be beginning PTP again next week. The bus is all sorted for them on Tuesday morning. School Skiing Trip Ski Trip will be on the 29th September, fingers crossed. Meet on front of the Rentals at 8.30am.

Community Internet Safety Evening - Tuesday 27th So I have been away, over the last couple of days, working with school leaders about setting up ICT infrastructure (email, internet and websites) and a big concern that can up was internet safety. After having some very serious conversations, I realised that the kids at Pukeokahu School were a lot more knowledgeable than many of the adults I was speaking to. Which of course made me wonder if the parents of Pukeokahu Kids were as on to it as the kids … maybe not I thought. So next Tuesday night I would like to run a community information evening for you guys, just to check that you are as clever as your kids ;-) It will be a very informal show, tell and chat. If you have a laptop, bring it along and we will get you all wired. If this proves popular, I will look at running a second evening early next term. Pukeokahu Hall Committee Meeting @ 7pm At the hall, all are welcome. Roosters Available - Free Phone Tina 388 1430 Kitchen Cabinets Available If anyone is interested or needs some old, but in good condition, kitchen cabinets for storage in their wool shed etc. Please contact the school, we have three units available. St Joseph’s School Musical - In the Beginning Showings: Tuesday 27 September - 12pm Matinee Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th September - 6.30pm Show Venue: The Conference Hall, Tui Street NOTE: Pukeokahu School will be attending the Matinee on Tuesday, please let me know if you are available to help with transport and if you would like to come too. Ka kite ano, Marama and Carol
