The clear, thin shelled eggs of H. nana are spherical to ovoid in

shape, and contain a six-hooked embryo (oncosphere) when
passed in feces. Its prominent characteristics is the filament that
arise from polar thickening of the inner envelope surrounding the
oncosphere.
