-ing Pumpkin Game!

Directions: Cut out pumpkins and then cut apart at the black lines in the middle. This can be used as an independent center or small group activity. Student chooses a pumpkin card with the root word part and reads it. Then they add the suffix –ing part of the card and read the word again. For advanced students, I’ve included some cards where they have to double the final consonant. Those cards should be cut into 3 segments so students add the appropriate consonant before adding the suffix. There is a recording sheet for students to write down the completed words.
