Fire & Rain By Kevin G. Blackwell www.kgblackwell.com

Mount Lokon, a volcano located in Central Indonesia, erupted yesterday. As I write this, Bangkok is facing the worst flooding that it has experienced in decades. Indeed, Thailand, the Phillipines, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos have been suffering from extreme flooding since July. There was a large earthquake in Turkey over the weekend. Mount Etna in Italy is erupting and ash from a Chilean volcano is disrupting South American air travel in the same way that an Icelandic volcano disrupted transatlantic air travel multiple times last year. The March 11th Japan earthquake unleashed a devastating tsunami, and that quake and the Chilean quake in 2010 rank as the 2 of the strongest earthquakes on record. At the end of April of this year, I drove across the country from Los Angeles to New Jersey in order to attend my sisters funeral and to start my summer in Virginia with my kids who both attend the University of Virginia. As I drove through Memphis, the city was preparing for Mississippi River flooding. And since being in Virginia, Ive experienced the east coast earthquake followed by Hurricane Irene. Ive communicated with friends in two cities in which Ive recently lived, Austin & Santa Fe, about unprecedented fires nearby. And looked at a surreal weather map in early September and watched Louisiana prepare for torrential rainfalls from Tropical Storm Lee, while just a few hundred miles to the west, thousands of homes were being destroyed by drought-induced fires in Texas. Back in December 2010, I sent a quick note to a few of my clients that included this passage about water: Water. Every time I go inside, my clients and I are being taken underwater - submerged and inundated by water. One interpretation: Another water disaster is possibly coming. 2nd interpretation: water is an overlooked

source of power both literally and figuratively (in the same way that the feminine and emotions have been devalued, water has been devalued) and must be examined and "activated" as part of the transition we are in. In the same way that the planet is waking up and seeking balance - water is on the move and will upset the status quo on many levels. I could write for hours about what I've seen and experienced. Poseidon and numerous water deities and devas are making themselves known something is happening with water. Many of these visions include a "stopover" at the gulf. Clearly the waters there and that region are an important microcosm of what may be happening globally. So, commune with the gulf, love the waters everywhere and know that as you heal and activate things within yourself, you are healing and activating the waters. At the end of June of this year, I had an encounter with the sun, which I discussed in an earlier message. I thought to include in that message that we should expect record-breaking fires. But by that time the fires had already started. So just a brief note to say: Multiple things are going on with Mother Earth. She is undergoing a healing and rebalancing process and moving towards allowing a new & higher of energy to erupt from her core. At the same time, earth has given birth to a new version of herself and as any mother would do, is arranging her life and energy so that she can support the healthy growth of her higher dimensional offspring. Holy fire inspired by the sun has impregnated the earth and is evidenced by increasing global volcanic activity. As a result of the earths healing and birthing process, the waters of the earth are rising and moving and dancing. The interplay of fire and rain is changing the face of the earth. We can help by loving, appreciating and thanking the earth and the sun. When we meditate, lets take a moment to love and be with Gaia and the Sun. Appreciate the power and wisdom of water and fire commune with the elements dialogue with them love them and heed their messages. Also we can help by allowing the energy of our essence to erupt from our core out into the open for all to see. By doing

this, we move into harmony with Gaias process and ease her burden and decrease the potential/need for cataclysm. Put another way the shift that we are in is about allowing a new energy to be born and take the lead within us and on the planet. This energy will find a way to be born. If none of us allow this energy to be manifest in our lives, than Gaia, the Sun etc will bear the solitary burden of allowing this energy to erupt into being and the intensity of this eruption can be cataclysmic. But if we all do our part in allowing this energy to be born through our lives, we share the energetic burden and can allow this shift to happen in a smoother fashion. And another note, I lived much of my adult life in NYC. I started college there in 1978 and left my corporate job there in 2006. I lived in Orlando for 6 years and attended Dukes MBA program for 2 years, but otherwise I considered myself a New Yorker for more than 20 years. At the end of 2007, I had my awakening experience, on Central Park West and the experience was so profound and disorienting that I ended up being homeless on the streets of NYC for the 1st half of 2008. Though I was mostly in a state of bliss, it was surreal being homeless in a city where I had dozens of friends, family close by and lots of clients. And it became clear, that it was time for me to leave NYC because it would be easier to create a life in alignment with my new state of consciousness in a new place. So I moved to Austin and have been bouncing from city to city for the past few years. I pass through NYC every now and then took my kids to visit colleges etc. but have never considered moving back. On September 11th of this year, I, like many others, watched coverage of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and the memorial services honoring the victims. And I saw the NYC memorial and the waterfalls in the footprints of the fallen towers. In light of my recent insights about water, I was dazzled and moved by the waterfalls: the sheer sound and sight of falling water. The power of water to carry memories, knowledge and insight the power of water to heal! And the whole world experienced these waterfalls and I knew instantly that these waters are one of many things emerging that are subtly shifting the energy in the world. I instantly felt, yes, I can see myself in New York again. And Im not surprised that Occupy Wall Street emerged down the road just a few days later.

Love fire. Love water. Love all the elements. The earth, the moon the sun. Love everyone and everything. And allow yourself to be to shine with your light to joyously erupt with your essence and brilliance. Blessings, Kevin G.
