1he two 1erusalem's in scripture represent two covenants.
,,ti,3s 4:25-27

25. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in
bondage with her children.
26. But Jerusalem which is above is Iree, which is the mother oI us all.
27. For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break Iorth and cry, thou that travailest
not: Ior the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

Earthly 1erusalem was in bondage under the law. Heavenly 1erusalem us free from the law,
and is under grace.
1he earthly was replaced by the heavenly with the fulfillment of the law, and the establishment
of the new covenant.
We are not connected to the earthly, but the heavenly.

Earthly 1erusalem was judged due to the curse of the broken law.

Covenant wrath came on the city due to its many covenant violations, including vengeance for
killing the prophets, who were the covenant messengers of Cod.

1he earthly city us no longer the habitation of Cod, but was left desolate.

1he heavenly 1erusalem, the new covenant church us now the habitation of Cod.
1he earthly 1erusalem is not the new covenant city.
1he new creation cannot dwell in an old covenant city. 1he new creation dwells in the new
covenant city, the heavenly 1erusalem.
1he earthly was a type of the heavenly. 1he type is not greater than the reality.
1he type is always lesser than the heavenly. 1he heavenly is greater than the earthly.
1hose emphasize the earthly; lessen the superiority of the heavenly.
