knowinglyencouraging,inducingand/orassistingothersindirectcopyright25infringementofartists'works,andprofitingthereby.Asaresultoftheselawsuits,

anoverwhelmingnumberofthesefile-sharingsitesarenowcompletelyinactiveand27theirfoundingcompaniesarebankrupt.Yet,formostifnotallofthistime,one28

byDefendantsCBSInteractiveandCNET-2haveknowinglyandwillinglyparticipatedinandprofitedmightilyfromthesame3massiveinfringementthatengenderedlargecopyrightsuitsagainstNapsterand4LimeWireandthatultimatelycrippledthemfinancially.Andtheyhavedoneso5withimpunity.Infact,becausetheyownedanumberofthemostheavily-visited6sitesintheworldfordownloadingsoftwareofalltypes,Defendantsdidmoreto7furtherthismassiveinfringementthanNapsterorLimeWireevercouldbyfalsely8legitimizingitandpopularizingittothemasses.Asrecentlyas2010,onecould9accessalegitimateportionofDefendants'sitesanddownloadnon-infringing,10licensedsoftwaresuchasQuickbooksaccountingsoftwareorAdobeAcrobat,and11could
