39But He

answered and said unto them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign, and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah. three days and three nights in the whale's belly, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. men of Nineveh shall rise in the Judgment with this generation and shall condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.

The king answered and said: 'The thing is true. and said unto the king: 'Know. and cast him into the den of lions. servant of the living God. he cried with a pained voice.Then they came near.' 6. and his sleep fled from him. and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

(141) And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy. (140) And then drew lots and was of those rejected. (142) And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) (143) He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised. (144) .And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) (139) When he fled unto the laden ship.

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet . servants of the Most High God. and there was no smell of fire on them. Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble. prefects. Meshach and Abednego.” 30 Then the king promoted Shadrach. and the fourth looks like a son of the gods. “Certainly. Your Majesty. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies. unbound and unharmed.” 26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted. “Praise be to the God of Shadrach. who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.” 25 He said. come out! Come here!” So Shadrach. “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire. Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire. governors and royal advisers crowded around them. for no other god can save in this way. “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied. 27 and the satraps.in amazement and asked his advisers. nor was a hair of their heads singed. Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon. 29 Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach. Meshach and Abednego. their robes were not scorched. “Shadrach. 28 Then Nebuchadnezzar said.

O king. and spoke before the king concerning the king's decree: "Hast thou not signed a decree. regardeth not thee. and also before thee. "The thing is true. "O Daniel. "Know. which altereth not. "That Daniel. Now the king spoke and said unto Daniel. "Thy God whom thou servest continually. and said unto the king. able to deliver thee from the lions?" 21Then said Daniel unto the king. 18Then the king went to his palace and passed the night fasting. is thy God. he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel. "O king. O king. whom thou servest continually. was sorely displeased with himself. shall be cast into the den of lions?" The king answered and said. neither were instruments of music brought before him. and the king spoke and said to Daniel. and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions.
