Computer Technology

The computer technology option will prepare you for jobs in information technology. The program will teach you about operating systems, troubleshooting computer systems, and installing and maintaining computer networks. You'll take courses in computer science, math, and technology. You'll learn about data storage and security, networking fundamentals, and how computers are assembled. You'll also complete a minor in business administration. The goals of the Computer Technology Program are to prepare leaders who: 1. Demonstrate a mastery of the fundamental concepts and theories that underlie the areas of desktop support, systems administration and network administration. 2. Graphics Arts Management

In the graphic arts management program, you will gain a broad technical knowledge of graphic arts and handson experience with modern printing processes and equipment. Your degree will prepare you with the technical and managerial skills you need for a professional career in the dynamic and diverse graphic arts and printing industry.

Technology Teacher Education

The technology teacher education program prepares you to teach technologybased courses at the middle school and high school levels. Your education will set you apart from other middle, high, and vocational school teachers.

Constructuion Management
A major in construction management will prepare you for professional career opportunities in the growing construction industry. You will learn the skills needed to become a proficient manager who can guide multimillion dollar projects from concept to completion on time and within budget. Our courses are taught by highly skilled faculty members with real-world experience, and class work is focused on the knowledge you need. We also use the latest technology in the construction industry, putting you on the cutting edge. An internship is required, allowing you to gain valuable field experience and hone the skills you've learned in the classroom. You will also complete a required minor in business administration. You will learn about all aspects of printing and have opportunities to use some of the same printing equipment used in the industry. Your classes will cover topics like: * Commercial printing and publishing * Printing materials and equipment * Computer applications for creative and managerial functions * Quality control and production control systems * Prepress, estimating, and printing management You'll also complete a required minor in business administration to gain the supervision and management skills you'll need to advance to senior-level positions.

In this specially designed program, you'll be exposed to the latest technology and learn about educational methods. You'll take technology courses in communication, construction, manufacturing, and transportation and gain realworld experience working with materials, processes, energy systems, robots, and computers. You'll also learn about the principles of teaching and classroom strategies. All education majors are required to produce an electronic portfolio highlighting their development as teachers. The portfolio is an excellent opportunity for technology students to showcase their Web development and other technology skills.
