1] Modified 30-JAN-2002 Type PROBLEM Status PUBLISHED Problem Description ------------------Do the accounts in the subledgers get updated with the target account of a Move/Merge? The Oracle General Ledger User's Guide states: "During a move/merge operation the financial integrity between General Ledger and its subledgers is maintained." You submit the Move/Merge as follows: Responsibility = General Ledger Superuser GUI Navigation = Setup/Other/Mass Maintenance 1. Navigate to the Mass Maintenance Workbench window. 2. Select request type - Move/Merge. 3. Enter a Source and Target account. 4. Click the [Submit] button. The subledgers details do not get updated. Solution Description -------------------Move/Merge does not update the subledgers. The Move/Merge operation maintains the financial integrity between General Ledger and its subledgers by providing drill down from the target account. Responsibility = General Ledger Superuser GUI Navigation = Inquiry/Account 1. Navigate to the Account Inquiry form. 2. Query the Move/Merge target account. 3. From the target account you can drill down to the Move/Merge source account. 4. From the source account you can drill down to the subledger detail.
