November 21st 2011 For Immediate Release --------------------------------------------------------------------------Three RPS students accepted to SEMMEA Senior District Music Festival

On Saturday, November 19th, Randolph Public Schools music students traveled to Wrentham, MA to audition for the 2012 SEMMEA Senior District Festival. The students performed scales, solo literature and sight-reading passages for adjudicators and the RPS music department is excited to announce that three students were selected to perform in the various honor ensembles. The accepted students will work with talented conductors and perform with musicians from across southeastern Massachusetts at the Senior District Music Festival, to be held in early January. The Senior District Festival Concert will be held on Saturday, January 7th at Oliver Ames High School. In addition, two students scored in the top 50% of all accepted students and have been invited to audition for the MMEA All-State Music Festival.
