“Where does he get all those cool toys!” And THAT’S what we want to know! So here they are! This book is intended to provide you with a quick reference of all of the cool gadgets, weapons, and gear that exists in science fiction from movies to video games and literature. If there is a picture of it and a basic description, then we want to include it in this book. Where possible, each category of equipment is divided by the source material. That way all Star Wars equipment is kept together and all Star Trek equipment is separate. The following are statistics using the Sundered Epoch: Generations rules. Each section is sorted by the movie or novels from which they originated. This document will be updated frequently. Each version will include a revision number. If significant changes are made, such as the inclusion of a new set of species, it will be considered a “full version” change (thus 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and so on). Minor revisions to add new races or make corrections will be minor versions (thus 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.)

Damage Capacity: Borderlands shields are rated by the amount of damage that they can absorb before running out of power and being depleted. When a character is hit, subtract the Glance Damage from the shield’s current capacity before applying Glance to the character. This value was derived by the taking the square root of the Borderlands’ Shield Capacity. Recharge Rate: All shields begin to recharge after 1 full round where the character has not taken any damage. During the character’s Recovery Phase you can add the Recharge Rate to the shield’s current capacity, up to the shield’s maximum capacity. Generally speaking, the recharge rate is 15% of the shield’s total capacity. Shield Properties: Shields can have special properties listed below. Generally they can only have a maximum of 2 special properties.

Recharge Delay – The shield takes 2 rounds to begin recharging, but its Recharge Rate is doubled. High Capacity – +25% capacity. Fast Charge – +50% recharge rate. Shock Resistance – Take ½ Glance from electrical damage. Corrosive Resistance – Take ½ Glance from acid and chemicals. Fire Resistance – Take ½ Glance from heat, cold, and fire. Shock Burst – When depleted, the shield emits an electrical explosion causing 3d5 Glance to all characters within 5 meters. Treat as an explosive. The wearer is unaffected by the blast. Fire Burst – When depleted, the shield emits a fiery explosion causing 3d5 Glance to all characters within 5 meters. Treat as an explosive. The wearer is unaffected by the blast. Acid Burst – When depleted, the shield sprays a mist of corrosive acid causing 3d5 Glance to all characters within 5 meters. Treat as an explosive. The wearer is unaffected by the blast. Healing – If the character is injured, the shield will administer drugs and monitor the character’s vital signs reducing the character’s Combat Damage by 2 points each round. It does not affect the character’s actual wounds. Tough Guy – The character gains a +2 bonus to Stun Rolls while wearing the shield due to a mix of medications that the shield injects into the character’s system.

Mass Effect

Mass Effect has several styles of armor that are very similar in appearance and efficiency. As a result we combined several of them together to streamline their selection. Only human armor was chosen and only the mk X because all armors had an entry for it. Armor and shield values were derived by taking the Square Root of the Mass Effect value and multiplying by 2. Biotic values were derived by taking the Square Root only. Shields: Subtract any Glance damage from the shields before applying it to the character’s armor. The default recharge rate is 30 seconds. Biotic: Biotic protection is added to the character’s Resist Magic skill or treated as armor.
