DUTCH APPLE FRITTERS (HOLLANDSE APPELFAPPEN) 6 large cooking apples 1 cup flour 2 tsp. baking powder ¼ tsp.

salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1 egg, beaten ½ cup milk Oil for deep frying Powdered sugar Peel and core apples and slice Into 1/3-inch thick slices. Combine dry ingredients. Add Egg and milk, and mix well for 3 minutes. Dip apple slices in Batter and deep-fry in hot oil (365 – 275 degrees Fahrenheit) until golden. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
