These habits help us to enjoy freedom from obsessing thoughts.

Most people would be glad to have some peace of mind in their life. They would be happy to forget their troubles, problems and worries, and enjoy a few moments of inner calmness and freedom from obsessing thoughts. Here are 10 habits of peace of mind that we must know and apply to use in our life :

Habit # 1 : Do Not Interfere In Others’ Business Unless Asked Most of us create our own problems by interfering too often in others’ affairs. . our logic is the perfect logic. No two human beings can think or act in exactly the same way. This thinking denies the existence of individuality and consequently the existence of Nature. Somehow we have convinced ourselves that our way is the best way.

Mind your own business and you will keep your peace. .

. Forgive. and march on. This in turn results in loss of sleep. We nurture grievances. We often develop ill feelings inside our heart for the person who insults us or harms us. and high blood pressure. Get over this bad habit. Life is too short to waste in such trifles. 20Forget.Habit # 2 : Forgive And Forget This is the most powerful aid to peace of mind. development of stomach ulcers.

Love flourishes in giving and forgiving. .

Habit # 3 : Do Not Crave For Recognition This world is full of selfish people. They may praise you today because you are in power. They seldom praise anybody without selfish motives. . they will forget your achievement and will start finding faults in you. Why do you wish to kill yourself in striving for their recognition? Their recognition is not worth the aggravation. but no sooner than you are powerless.

Do your duties ethically and sincerely. .

Habit # 4 : Do Not Be Jealous You know that you work harder than your colleagues in the office. Everybody’s life is shaped by his/her destiny. you do not. no one can help you either. If you are not so destined. Remember that nothing will be gained by blaming others for your misfortune. which has now become his/her reality. If you are destined to be rich. nothing in the world can stop you. . but sometimes they get promotions.

Instead.Habit # 5 : Change Yourself According To The Environment If you try to change the environment single-handedly. will mysteriously change and seem congenial and harmonious. change yourself to suit your environment. even the environment. which has been unfriendly to you. . the chances are you will fail. As you do this.

True success is thinking and doing things in a way that gives you a feeling of self worth.To change your mind and change your life you must believe that you can and take the necessary steps to get it done. .

We must learn to endure them cheerfully. Every day we face numerous inconveniences. irritations. .Habit # 6 : Endure What Cannot Be Cured This is the best way to turn a disadvantage into an advantage. and accidents that are beyond our control. If we cannot control them or change them. we must learn to put up with these things. ailments.

inner strength and will power.Believe in yourself and you will gain in terms of patience. .

This will reduce those thoughts in your mind that make you restless. . Know your limitations.Habit # 7 : Do Not Bite Off More Than You Can Chew We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable of carrying out. introspection and meditation. This is done to satisfy our ego. You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding your external activities. Reduce your material engagements and spend time in prayer.

Uncluttered mind will produce greater peace of mind. .

your mind will tend to become peaceful during the remaining twenty-three and half-hours. If you meditate earnestly for half an hour everyday. This is the highest state of peace of mind. . Try and experience it yourself. Your mind will not be easily disturbed as it was before.Habit # 8 : Meditate Regularly Meditation calms the mind and gets rid of disturbing thoughts.

this will increase your efficiency and you will be able to produce better results in less time.You would benefit by gradually increasing the period of daily meditation. On the contrary. . You may think that this will interfere with your daily work.

Your hobby. . like social work or religious work. something worthwhile. Do something that holds your interest.Habit # 9 : Think Positively Keep your mind occupied in something positive. may not always earn you more money. but you will have a sense of fulfillment and achievement. Actively follow a hobby. You must decide what you value more: money or peace of mind.

Habit # 10 : Do Not Procrastinate And Never Regret Do not waste time in protracted wondering ” Should I or shouldn’t I?” Days. Value your time and do the things that need to be done. It does not matter if you fail the first time. months. weeks. . Sitting back and worrying will lead to nothing. You can learn from your mistakes and succeed the next time. and years may be wasted in that futile mental debating.

Whatever happened was destined to happen only that way.Learn from your mistakes. Why cry over spilt milk? . but do not brood over the past. DO NOT REGRET.

Follow them by creating peace in our inner world. Chew on them. . Inwardly digest them. Don’t discard them. we bring it into the external world.Take your time in reading them. Be challenged by them. but simply ask yourself ‘what are the inspiring habits I have just learned’ once you have read them. affecting other people too.

but by quietening and relaxing the restless mind. Thank You Very Much .You get peace of mind not by thinking about it or imagining it.
