Citizen Outreach Opening – Office of the Governor

The Office of Mark Dayton and Lt Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon is seeking applicants for the position of Citizen Outreach Liaison in the Citizen Outreach and Constituent Services Department. The Citizen Outreach and Constituent Services department works to ensure that the Governor’s Office is accessible to the citizens of Minnesota. Example of Citizen Outreach Liaison duties include: Provide personal assistance for citizen questions, comments, requests and concerns Help to resolve citizen issues by referring to the appropriate resource or helping them to navigate the state system Attend agency briefings and conferences Draft correspondence between the Governor’s office and citizens or constituent groups Advance the Governor at public events Process special document requests Assist with other Citizen Outreach activities or office wide initiatives as necessary Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications: A four year degree from an accredited college or university A strong desire to serve the public Knowledge of Minnesota State Government and the legislative process Excellent writing and research skills Good communications and interpersonal skills Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends An individual wishing to apply should submit a cover letter and resume to Adam Prock at before 5 P.M. on Wednesday December 14, 2011.
