a great start to each day. Here is what you can do to help support your child:

Second grade students are expected to:
• • • • •
Read for at least 15 minutes each night. Practice Weekly Spelling Words. Practice addition/subtraction facts. Complete other homework as assigned. Return homework the next school day, unless otherwise noted.
*Parents, it is your responsibility to check your child's homework each evening for neatness, accuracy and following directions. After doing this, please provide your signature. AT NIGHT *Your child will not be successful if he/she is tired at school. As soon as possible establish a nightly routine that involves about 15 minutes of your special time spent with your child. During this time read to him/her a bedtime story and listen to his/her prayers. Make sure to put your son/daughter to bed at 8:00PM, so he/she has at least 10 hours of sleep every night. I believe that parents and teachers need to work together as a team for the benefit of the children. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to working with you!
