Like all good reference tools, this book is set up to be read “as needed.” It’s
divided into five parts: the basics, shopping and buying, using community fea-
tures, selling, and the Part of Tens. So if you just want to know how to become
an Amazon Associate, read Chapter 18. If you want to find out how to write a
product review, read Chapter 12. If you’re a complete novice and you want to
be walked through the basics of the store, Chapters 1 and 2 do the trick.

That said, one of the most incredible things about Amazon is the sheer quan-
tity of good stuff they have on their site. You may be someone who’s been
shopping at Amazon since the days of yore back in1996, but I’ll bet you’re only
aware of about one third of what there is at Amazon. So you may want to leaf
through the whole book, or at least the Table of Contents. You’ll be amazed.
