Connections between Daniel and Revelation

The books of Daniel and Revelation have striking similarities. One would find it difficult to understand Revelation fully without Daniel. This is no mere coincidence. In fact, there is no symbol in Revelation without an Old Testament precedent. The Holy Spirit intends us to use the Old Testament as our means of understanding Revelation.
