Janet Adkins stopped living when she discovered she had Alzheimers disease. Janet did not stop breathing, but she did not allow herself to enjoy her time on Earth after that point. On Monday, 4 June 1990 Dr. Kevorkian assisted Janet in ceasing her physical life. Kevorkian received a lot of criticism due to his actions. Life is held in your spirit. Your physical being is not what allows you to live. When one ceases to let their spirit have life, they are dead. Janet made the decision to end her physical being, because in her spirit she already died. Kevorkian should not be held as an evil, murderous man, because of his assistance. Word count -178
