One of the best ways to improve your English is to watch English films. So why dont you watch some Christmas classics during the holiday? (I think I will watch some Spanish Christmas films too to improve my Spanish!) Here are a few films that you could watch:

Christmas in Scotland
In Scotland we always look for an excuse to party! So myself and my work mates in Scotland are going to meet up in Glasgow and go out and celebrate in the City Centre! We will go for dinner in a nice restaurant and then party in a nightclub!

Also, every year at Christmas time myself and my friends from school go to George Square in Glasgow. There we go ice skating and then have lunch in a nearby restaurant. I love George Square at Christmas- its beautiful! That is us keeping each other warm on the ice-rink!

Christmas time is extra special in my family because on the 22nd December it is my mums birthday! I am really looking forward to seeing her this year. Myself, my brothers and our respective partners will gather in my mums house to wish her a happy birthday, eat some party food and have a glass of champagne to celebrate! She is a very special lady to us.

On the 24th December I go out for a nice lunch with my boyfriend. In the evening we all go to mass at our local church. I really enjoy the Christmas Vigil because I love all the hymns and it is always full of people!

When mass has finished I go out with my boyfriend and our friends and we party the night away!. Christmas Eve is my favourite night of the whole year because everybody is in a good mood, the music is great and it is Christmas day the following day!

Christmas Day!
On Christmas morning all of the family get up early so that we can open up our presents together.
In the afternoon we eat Christmas dinner which includes: Starter: Prawn Cocktail and Lentil Soup Main Course: Turkey, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, carrots, turnip, sprouts and pigs in blankets. Dessert: My mum always makes a lot of desserts so we can have our pick! Desserts include trifle, strawberry pavlova, Christmas cake, cheese cake

On Christmas night, my boyfriend and my brothers partners come to our house and we play party games and just enjoy each others company. For me, that is exactly what Christmas is about: being with the people that you love most in the world.

And last but not least.

I hope that you all have a wonderful, happy and safe Christmas with your friends and family! I am excited to return to Scotland to see all my family again, to go to mass together, and to exchange gifts. I also cant wait to tell them all about your work in the Bilingual Section! Ill see you all in January! Merry Christmas and keep up the hard work!
