Jul 18, 2011 9:02 PM Rooting, Updating to 2.1 Global, Custom roms Froyo 2.2, Gingerbread 2.3, Xrecovery.

If you decide on doing these processes please note this can void your warranty with SE and / or your service provider so if you do it you do it knowing this. If you want to continue I would suggest that you first Root your current version so that you can back up your apps and data properly, you can root your current rom using the flashtool as detailed below under Rooting. Download from the market Titanium Backup or MyBackup Root, personally I prefer Titanium Backup (rooted phones required). Once you have done this and backed up all the data then flash your phone reinstall this app or download again from the market and restore all your apps and phone data using it. You can return to stock SE rom at any time, simply download and run SEUS form the Sony Ericsson website, run it, connect your phone in Flash mode and perform the Install / Repair option. Also check this thread for a load of information and links that was posted by Lightyearr0420, it contains a lot of information and links that you may find useful and that can be used with the instructions below Thread created by Lightyear0420 http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/59415#59415
