ABSTRACT
In railway station, the passengers have to go to different platforms to get their trains to go to several places. They use over bridge to go to their platforms. Aged and disabled people will find difficult to use that over bridge to cross the railway track. Here we are designed a foldable bridge extension system to make people easy to go to other platforms. The following figure is the simple representation of our project.

PLATFORM 1

IR Sensor I

IR SOURCE

IR Sensor II

When the train crosses this sensor, the bridge will fold automatically

PLATFORM 2
MOTOR DRIVER

When the train is going to reach the station, the IR Sensor I senses the train one km before the station. The sensed signal from IR Sensor I will trigger the motor driver to fold the bridge we constructed. Again when the train is going to leave the station after one km, it will be sensed by IR Sensor II. Then the sensed signal from IR Sensor II will trigger the motor driver to rotate in opposite direction and the two platforms are connected by the foldable bridge. This must be useful for all peoples, especially for aged and disabled persons.
