    Why not abolish the Upper House, the Rajya Sabha, In India Recently we were in New Zealand and

    during a conducted tour of the Parliament House, the group entered a large empty chamber and the guide announced, This used to be where the upper house used to meet, until it was abolished in fifties. On my query, as to why it was abolished, the reply was straight forward, Because the laws were not getting passed. Sounds familiar !!!
