WHAT INFORMATION DOES THE OENING CREDITS PROVIDE?
‡ The speech at the beginning provides the information that the film is based on a true story. This scares the audience because they know that these events have actually happened. ‡ We also find out that it is a man who is killing all the people.

HOW ID THE GENRE OF THE FILM CONSTRUCTED?
‡ The genre of the film is part thriller and part slasher. The slasher part is constructed when we see all the dead bodies and the blood being examined. This revolts the audience and scares them. ‡ The thriller part is when we find out that it is a true story, it is one of those spine chilling moments.

WHAT DO THE OPENING TITLES SHOW, VISUALLY? HOW IS NARRATIVE ENIGMA CREATED?
‡ Visually, in the opening credits we see what destruction has been done, and the narrative enigma of gore and terror is portrayed when we see the dead bodies being examined.

WHAT IS THE EFFECT OF THE MUSIC?
‡ There isn¶t any music during the opening credits however there are sound effects of the camera and the chainsaw. This makes the opening sequence a lot more terrifying and tense because the audience know that at any moment something could jump out and make a loud noise which would scare them and make them jump.

HOW HAS TYPOGRAPHY BEEN USED?
‡ The typing of the names is very basic which creates a sense of mystery I the way that it doesn¶t give the audience any clue as to what the mood is or what is going to happen. ‡ In comparison with the typography of the dawn of the dead sequence where the blood was trickling, the writing in this sequence does not tell us anything.
