Benchmade 551 Griptilian Plain Folder

When writing a review it would be nice if i spoke about the drawbacks to a knife instead of constantly raving about every knife, but the Benchmade 551 Griptilian Plain Folder is another amazing knife from Benchmade. They make such a high quality blade that it is so hard to talk about anything bad. To start they have the standard AXIS locking mechanism which Benchmade has patented, or at least i think they’ve patented it. Also this knife is good for a right or lefty because it has the little thumb stud doohicky’s on both sides of the knife. Now the one thing i don’t understand is the drop point on the blade, i think it has no functional purpose as far as making the knife better as far as usability, but it does make the blade look quite menacing. It has a multi directional clip, which seems to be a common theme in Benchmade knives. I’ve also noticed through other blogs and ecommerce sights, that this knife seems to be one of Benchmade’s top sellers, very popular across many different groups. So if you are into the fad thing, i guess this might be a good knife for you, not to mention it’s a Benchmade, enough said. Hit up the link in my review if you want to get one, it’s about the cheapest i’ve seen it offered.
