n  Students,

in groups, are to explore manifestos in fantasy or sci-fi/futuristic fiction/work (film, literature, theatre or art, etc) and present their findings.
Entire group must work together to choose a piece of work (fantasy or sci-fi) from which they will draw their manifesto Half of the group to work on researching the conditions for the manifesto (the political climate, the status quo, etc) The other half work on drawing up the details of the manifesto The entire group will need to work together to deliver a 5 minute presentation

The presentation can take the form of a 5 – 10 minute talk – you can use Powerpoint, video clips (short ones), images, bullet points… Structure it so that it has an introduction, a middle section and a conclusion. Why was there a need for the manifesto? What was the manifesto? Is it implicit or explicit? If you were to create your own manifesto inspired by this work – what would it be? Did the manifesto or the work create change or a dialogue that stimulated something new? Was it successful? Show evidence of research and an understanding of the topic (and of debate, polemic and manifesto). Make it interesting and visually stimulating. Be as creative as you like.
