FAT CARGO SLIP Product description

Cargoes such as Pet Coke and Pencil Pitch will often result in costly and labour intensive cleaning after discharge to make cargo holds accepted for a new and sensitive cargo. FAT CARGO SLIP has been developed to do what its name suggests: Helping to prevent stains/footprints of difficulty-to-clean cargoes adhering to the surfaces of cargo holds. FAT CARGO SLIP is a unique blend of natural ingredients and can be easily applied by ships own crew before loading. FAT CARGO SLIP must be applied on clean surfaces, and acts as a barrier and release agent between the cargo hold surface and the next cargo. After discharging, footprints/stains of the cargo are removed by using alkaline detergents such as the Aquaclean or Aquaclean HD and preferably the MAXI-GUN or the MARI-CLEAN high pressure cleaners of 350-500 bar. Note: The FAT CARGO SLIP will protect the paint, but may be time consuming to remove unless the vessel is equipped with adequate cleaning equipment. FAT CARGO SLIP has been found to be harmless to normal cargoes, coatings and the environment.

Instruction for application

1. Cargo holds to be washed down and as clean as possible. Cargo holds should be dry before application of Fat Cargo Slip 2. Fat Cargo Slip should be stirred to allow liquid to increase in volume. Air hose into barrel can also be used. 3. Start application from top of cargo hold and work your way down. 4. Fat Cargo Slip should be left to dry before loading of the next cargo starts. 5. When finished with application of all cargo holds, rinse equipment with fresh water. Use a clean drum and pump water through hose and application equipment. After discharging, we recommend to clean the holds using ROCHEM 101 Aquaclean or Aquaclean HD. Spray Aquaclean diluted with fresh water on cargo hold surfaces.
