SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, APRIL 2010 - OCTOBER 2011

Vitrue (acquired by Oracle in May 2012) Worked within an early-stage, pre-acquisition startup. An early member of the engineering team who helped grow the company from startup phase to a $300 million acquisition. Aided in the hiring and growth of an engineering department that tripled in size. Global engineering resource working with globally distributed client delivery teams and our local platform product delivery teams to provide social media driven solutions. Concepted and built competition-based advertising solutions using social gamification methods. Worked with a variety of front end technologies ( HTML5, CSS3, JS/jQuery, Flex/ Flash, Video) and backend technologies (Ruby on Rails, SQL, mySQL). Mentored junior engineers and designers and trained new employees on best practices for our frequently used technologies. Worked closely with interface architects, product managers and executive stakeholders to build new products and productize custom implementations. Worked with product engineering directors and executive team on platform integration, user experience, social interaction, mobile web and location-based strategy. Consulted as technology expert with various internal departments. Selected project highlights include:
ESPN World Cup Social Application

• Application built using Flex 3, Facebook API and internal libraries • Utilized MVC principles and design patterns • Worked with back-end engineers to design XML schemas • Integrated Ruby on Rails back-end
Vitrue Games

• Worked on integration strategy with the executive team and the then newly acquired Games That Give team • Platform and product integration, user experience and social media strategy
