NICE promises BMIC in 1 year
TIMES NEWS NETWORK Indavalu (Mandya): The much-awaited BMIC road will come up in a year if the present government is supportive, according to Ashok Kheny, managing director of Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE). Speaking at Nandi Awards distribution on Saturday, Kheny said: “If BMIC comes into effect at the stipulated time, the 110-km stretch between Mysore and Bangalore will be covered in an hour.” Kheny also suggested the BJP government to declare a day for farmers, who are the backbone of India — an agrarian-based nation. The charity of Ashok Kheny extended to Indavalu village of Mandya taluk. A Kheny fan club in Mandya conferred eight achievers from the place with ‘Nandi Award’. Educationalist and former MLA H D Chowdaiah, playback singer Lakshi and others from the district got the prize. The Kheny Fans’ Association also presented a silver crown to Kheny. Women and child welfare minister P M Narendraswamy, former MP G Made Gowda, former minister M S Athmananda, Nagamangala MLA K Suresh Gowda, former MLA H B Ramu, actor Naveen Krishna and others took part in the function.
