Return Trip Original Story By Urvashi Lele Screenplay by Urvashi Lele First Draft In space with Earth at the lower left corner of the screen. A spaceship drifts towards the earth from the right hand side of the frame. Doon driving the ship and trying to get it to stabilize. The ship rocks up and down. The camera focuses on the dashboard and Doon pushes a red eject button. Down on earth, a restaurant is sitting in on a street. The sky is blue and there is grass around the restaurant. It is a concrete street with other buildings as well. There is a sound of something falling-‐like a whistle. The restaurant is hit with something and there is smoke. Whilst the restaurant is hit, in the same frame, on the right, Doon lands using a parachute. Doon unbuckles his parachute and turns around. When he turns around and faces what he had his back to, his face holds the expression of that of surprise. What Doon sees is the restaurant lovingly stroking his spaceship(this is a shot of only the restaurant in the frame with the ship). The restaurant has a yellow glow around it. Like it is the sun and it is emitting rays of light. The shot changes to that of the restaurant hugging the ship on the left and Doon walking over to it and trying to pull the ship apart from the restaurant. The restaurant refuses to let the ship go. The two squabble for two seconds. The camera focuses on Doon with his hands on his hips and annoyed. The scene changes back to the restaurant on the right and Doon storming off out of the frame to the right. The scene changes to that of a massive bird that is curled up and asleep. It is on the right of the frame. Doon enters the frame with only the upper half of his body and plucks a feather from the bird. Doon returns to the frame with the restaurant in it and tries to tickle the restaurant but the restaurant sneezes and sends Doon flying out of the frame to the right. Doon returns to the frame with a bottle full of soap water. He takes out the bubble blower, inserts it into the bottle and holds it in front of his lips. He blows 12th February 2012
a large bubble that envelopes the entire restaurant. The restaurant brings out a pin and bursts the bubble. Doon then leaves the frame again and re-‐enters with the Big Bad Wolf. The shot changes to the wolf’s face. The wolf is wearing a grey wig and glasses as his ‘grandmother disguise’. The camera is situated below his waist at an angle so that one can see the underside of he chin while still seeing his eyes. The wolf inhales a massive breathe and his chest inflates. There is a second pause and he blows. The shot changes to the wolf blowing the restaurant down but from a side profile view where the restaurant is to the left and the wolf is to the right. The shot changes to the restaurant’s frontal view. The restaurant point to itself, indicating that it is made of bricks. The shot changes to that of Doon with his face in his palm. The next scene has Doon receiving a package that he ordered. It arrives via truck. The truck is on the road and Doon is on the pavement. Doon is to the left and the truck is to the right. Doon’s right side is facing us and the truck’s front is facing us. A hand pops out of the window of the truck with the package and hands it to Doon. The scene changes back to Doon walking towards the restaurant with the restaurant to the left and Doon to the right. It is their side profiles that we see. The shot changes to the package on Doon’s hand. It is just his hands and the package. He opens the package and there is a stick of dynamite in it. It has many horizontal divisions and each division has a key (like that found in a grenade). One of the divisions says ‘Restaurant Destruction Mode’. Doon pulls the key off of that section. The shot changes to that of the restaurant facing us a bit to the left and Doon creeping in on tip toe from the right. He places the dynamite near the restaurant and tip toes away. The next scene is that of Doon’s upper body. His side is facing us. His index fingers are in his ears and he awaits a blast. There is a blast off screen. There is a flash of light from the left of Doon (where his back is facing). That is followed by smoke. Doon turns to the direction of the smoke. The scene changes to that of the restaurant coughing. It is blackened due to the explosion. This is a closeup of the restaurant’s face. There is a sizzling sound in the back. The restaurant’s expression changes to that of ‘oh no’. The camera zooms out to reveal the space ship rocket. It has been ignited due to the explosion. The spaceship blasts off into space with the restaurant.
The scene changes to Doon looking up into the sky. His eyes follow the space ship that is off screen. He looks at the camera and puts his face in his palm.

Premise Doon is a member of the Mannequin species from outer space. His ship has crash landed in a restaurant and is stuck there. The restaurant does not want it to leave because it isn't very popular and it finally has something cool and unusual to get it noticed by the others. Doon needs to get the restaurant to let go of his spaceship so that he can get home. He tries everything from getting a massive feather to tickle it, to trying to get it to float away in a massive bubble, getting the big bad wolf to blow it away ,using 'restaurant dissolving' acid , using a massive pair of tongs to extract the ship.He even tries demolishing it but the restaurant just dodges it. Talk about "badass" Fed up, he orders a dynamite and setting it to restaurant destruction mode, places it in the restaurant. The dynamite explodes, the restaurant is scorched but the engine of the spaceship is ignited and the rocket launches and takes off without Doon.
